Coat Making -The Kelly Anorak

February 10, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 9:15 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 6:00 pm on Monday, repeating until February 10, 2020

£100 – £180.00

So excited to bring this work shop to you- I’ve wanted to schedule this as our winter coat making for the past two years

The Kelly Anorak has a classic shape with a modern cut, this styled lined shape coat is the perfect choice for transitional weather. Whilst Kelly can be made as an unlined coat, we felt that our traditional winter coat making season could extend the skills of some of our Sewists if they wished, so we are aiming to insert a cosy quilted lined inner.

The coat features a two-piece cuffed sleeve, optional drawstring waist, gusseted flap pocket and a zipper placket with snap buttons. Opt to make version A with three-piece hood or View B stand up collar

Techniques involved include sewing a straight seam, setting sleeves, attaching a collar or hood, and inserting a lining, top stitching inserting grommets and quilted lining.

This workshop will run over 6 consecutive Monday evenings …NB you will be required to complete some homework consisting of straight seam sewing in between sessions.
