Amanday Wyatt Sewcial Studio Tamworth

Amanda Wyatt

My love and passion for sewing was reignite with my daughters involvement in Irish dancing. I was intrigued by the structure and design of the beautiful costumes and set about the task of creating her first solo dress, which resulted in a suitably thrilled outcome.

My initial background started in the creative world of hairdressing and then through a natural desire to continually learn, I found myself training as a teacher in FE. After 17  incredible years in teaching the opportunity came to change direction. My passion for fabric and sewing was so strong, I knew I had to follow my dreams and chance my skills in uncharted waters.

Simon Bird

Simon worked with Amanda previously in FE, following some life changing issues Simon found a focus to help develop Amanda’s original idea of a sewing cafe theme.

Simon looks after the machine servicing and enjoys sourcing delicious cakes that have become quite synonyms with  sewists far and wide. The addition of Jaguar machines compliments the Elna Dealership providing a greater range for the local area. Simon’s latest acquisition for the studio is his crafting of the finest Oak Point Press Clapper you will find.

We welcome crafters of all persuasions from sewers to knitters and beyond , offering tea cake and sympathy at no extra charge and will always do our best to support you and supply you when required
