The Sewcial Studio

The Sewcial Studio aims to inspire and teach sewing skills to create Vintage, Chic or Plain Unique pieces.

We provide a friendly welcome to all, enabling precious creative “you-time”. Whether you were put off at school and now fearful to touch that untamed beast lurking beneath the stairs! or already know your way around a sewing machine and wish to rekindle an interest with like minded people.   One of our designated workshops or sew-cafe sessions will be able to meet your needs. Each offers the opportunity to relax, chat, and exchange ideas, taking you through a creative journey, making your very own bespoke home-furnishings, dressmaking, and individualised accessories.

To help fire your imagination and make that project look even more stunning, our continually growing selections of beautiful quality fabrics and independent patterns are available to purchase within the studio or online.

Alternatively, if sewing is just not on your genre, but you require and appreciate the individualism and uniqueness of bespoke wares, personal commissions are undertaken. From dance, ice-skating and wrestling wear, to customised curtains and furnishings, the Sewcial Studio can assist.

Amanday Wyatt Sewcial Studio Tamworth

Amanda Wyatt

My love and passion for sewing was reignite with my daughters involvement in Irish dancing. I was intrigued by the structure and design of the beautiful costumes and set about the task of creating her first solo dress, which resulted in a suitably thrilled outcome.

My initial background is in the creative world of hairdressing and through a natural desire to continually learn and share new skills I found myself training as a teacher in FE. After 17  incredible  years in teaching the time came to change direction. My passion for fabric and sewing  was such that I knew I had to follow my dreams and chance my skills in uncharted waters.

It was the belief and support from Simon my business partner that gave the final leap towards opening the Sewcial Studio where it is today.

Simon saw a spark in Amanda and they worked closely together to develop the original offer to include and expand the sewing cafe theme . Since we came together as a partnership we have moulded and developed the original idea that Amanda created to allow for the growth and expansion you are now able to see. We are working tirelessly on our fabric range and recently obtained the Elna Dealership for the local area and are now stockists for this range of quality sewing and quilting machines. We welcome crafters of all persuasions from sewers to knitters and beyond . We offer tea and sympathy at no extra charge and will always do our best to support you and supply you when required
