PECKHAM TROUSERS
These classic women’s trousers look dressy but feel more like sweatpants. Designed for woven fabrics with some stretch, these trousers feature details that make them special. BURNSIDE BIBS- SEW HOUSE SEVEN
The Burnside Bibs are not your traditional work overalls. Yes they are comfortable and easy to wear, yet they are much more stylish and feminine than traditional versions. The straps that transition to narrower ties offer many options for how they can be tied. And…like so many sewing patterns, we as sewists are able to influence how casual or dressed up they become simply by fabric choice. Choose a fabric with some drape such as Tencel and pair them with a silk blouse and some heels for a dressed up look. Use a more traditional denim or linen and wear them with a tee shirt, sneakers or clogs and take a more casual approach.
The Burnside Bibs have two front bib options – a scooped neck or the traditional straight front. Both bibs work with either version #1 or version #2.
Version #1 is a more fitted back pant with back waist darts and an invisible side zipper opening, however, the ties still form a small amount of gathers at the back waist.
Version #2 is a looser back pant that slips on over your hips and does not have a closure to sew. This version is fuller and more gathered in the back. Use your hip measurement to determine your size for version #2.
Both versions also feature a front waistband, curved front patch pockets, optional back pockets, and cross-back straps that transition to narrower ties that thread through back waist belt loops forming back waist gathers. They may be tied in many ways – at the back, front or sides. The legs are somewhat wide and can be made full length or cropped.

With two pocket options, three hem finishes, two waist finishes and two hem lengths, you can mix and match any of the version’s features.
Front and Back V-necklines – the back neck is low but should just barely cover a bra.
Shoulder straps that cover bra straps with optional bra keeper snaps.

FABRIC SUGGESTIONS:
Light-weight woven fabrics such as linen, linen blends, cotton lawn, silk noil, silk crepe de chine, wool gabardine and just about any woven dress-weight fabric that isn’t too thick or stiff. Note that stable fabrics such as cotton lawn may result in a tighter fit at the upper bust while fabrics with drape such as rayon challis may result in a looser fit.

The Tulip Dress is a gently fitted dress with a soft bubble hem. It has a shallow v-neck and a front pleat giving it extra room around the waist and allowing it to be pulled on over your head – no zip required. There are little swing sleeves that come midway down your upper arm and big pockets in the side seams. The bottom hem sits above the knee (for 5′ 8″ height).
Suggested fabrics: Most mid-weight fabrics such as cotton, linen, denim, corduroy, lightweight wools, scuba, double knit.
Fabric requirements: 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: Sizes 8-20, 2 m (2 yd) / Sizes 22-26, 2.25 m (2.5 yd) // 112 cm (45″) wide fabric: 2.5 m (2.75 yd).
The Swing Jacket is a relaxed fit, throw-on jacket with no fastening. There are large pockets integrated into the front diagonal seam. The wide trim, which acts as a facing, and the grown-on, three quarter length sleeves make it a super-easy unlined jacket. You will find lengthen lines marked on the pattern pieces to allow you to alter the body and sleeve length to suit you.
Suggested fabrics: Linen, cotton, velvet, viscose, lightweight wool, chambray, denim, double knit, tweed, silk.

The Triple Tuck Smock is a loose-fitting dress with three front pleats. Elbow-length raglan sleeves allow for an easy and comfortable fit. It can be made in a wide range of fabrics from lightweight cotton and linen, to velvet and needlecord.

The Geo Dress has a relaxed, batwing shape with a round neck. Its raglan sleeves create strong geometric lines from the neckline all the way down to the side seams. These seams incorporate deep pockets and are topstitched for emphasis. The dress fits gently into the waist and hips and finishes just above the knee (for 5′ 8″ height). It pulls on over your head – no zip required.
Suggested fabrics: Drapey fabrics, such as crepe or viscose. Anything too stiff, such as 100% cotton, will look and feel bulky around the batwing sleeves. Also suitable for jersey, but we would recommend making at least one size smaller than usual (depending on the stretch of the fabric) and replacing the neckline facing with bias binding.
