WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
How to choose your size and interpret the pattern
How to cut out your fabric and assess fabric stretch
How to sew stretch fabric on a regular sewing machine or over-locker
How to construct a Raglan or Set in sleeve
How to add a neckband an cuff
How to create mock cuff hem finishes
How to sew and optional regular hem in a stretch fabric
How to use a twin needle on a stretch fabric
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Basic sewing kit to include – scissors, pins etc.
1.5 mtr – 2.3 mtr of stretch fabric containing at least 20% stretch these include – Ponte Roma, Scuba jersey, interlock jersey, cotton and sweater knits, French terry, wool jersey, Sweat shirting- fleece back or loop back depending on size and style of sweater chosen – we have a vast range of jersey’s in the studio if required and happy to advice.
