Join us on this Online workshop, making the Fabulous Mellissa Breton Tee by The Thrifty Stitcher. This relaxed fit drop shoulder T shirt is the perfect intro to sewing knits. The boat neck is finished off with a neckband, and there are 2 sleeve length options. This is a versatile wardrobe builder, great for layering or making oversized as a cosy top.

We will demystify the scary bits; give you hints and tips on working with jersey. Take you through construction with optional finishing techniques.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- How to choose your size and interpret the pattern
- How to cut out your fabric and assess fabric stretch
- How to sew stretch fabric on a regular sewing machine or over-locker
- How to add a neckband
- How to create mock cuff hem finishes
- How to sew and optional regular hem in a stretch fabric
- How to use a twin needle on a stretch fabric
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
1.5- 1,75m of jersey knit- with at least 20% stretch such as Modal, Cotton Knit, Viscose Jersey- we have a great range and happy to advise on suitability.
