Hand Made Notebooks

Join us for this super new Workshop and learn how to make a beautiful and individual notebook. Perfect for jottings of all kinds… of ideas, lists, sewing journal and more !

These little bound books make wonderful presents that can be personalised for your friends and family. You will make up a book in the workshop and have the knowledge to make as many as you like at home.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED 

To save sharing equipment(and therefore waiting for ‘turns’) ideally each participant will
bring the following:
 A3 self-healing cutting mat ( we do have mats at the studio if required)
 30cm metal edged ruler or a 30cm metal ruler
 Sharp craft knife
 Pencil
 Small pair of sharp scissors
 Pack of sharp needles
 An old and unwanted magazine (to use when applying glue)

WHAT WILL BE INCLUDED 
The Sewcial Studio will provide:
 PVA glue
 Glue brush
 Bone folder/creaser
 Two small quilting clips
 Awl
 Waxed linen thread
 A4 white paper for the notebook pages
 Book cover boards
 A4 Card for inside the cover
 A selection of papers for the covers
 Fabric for the binding
 Ribbon for the book-mark
 Hot drinks and yummy cake!
At the end of the session you will have your very own hand made notebook and you will
take away everything you need to make a second notebook at home.
