Get to Know Your Over-locker- ON LINE WORKSHOP
January 24, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm£70.00
Over-lockers (also known as Serger’s) aren’t as scary as they seem and by the end of this workshop you will have tamed your beast… we promise!
Learn how to maximise the most out of your machine, neaten seam edges to give a truly professional finish, construct speedy stretchy/jersey fabrics, finish off seam allowances neatly and do lots of other cool things like rolled hems.
As we are all adapting to new situations, we are working hard to offer solutions to our workshop provision so that you can enjoy all the benefits and fun of attending a workshop, while keeping us all as safe as possible. In doing so we are excited to now offer this amazing workshop via the online zoom app so you get the added bonus of demonstrations been shown through your digital tablets/ I-pads via our 3-way camera system for different viewing positions. By using this method we will be able to maintain social interaction with feloow sewists. You will be sent a full fabric sample pack and work booklet just as you would have when attending the studio.
What You Will Learn:
How to change the settings when using different types of fabrics.
How to thread the Over-locker and understand each thread purpose
