End of Year Quilting Challenge- Are You In?
This year in our Patch & Quilt sessions we have done some pretty amazing techniques and blocks. As this difficult year draws to an end I thought we could round it off with an actual quilt!…not too big and not too fiddly!
The rational, to keep occupied more than ever in the shorter days and darker evening and this session will enable us to support each sewcially and mentally.
The Design is the fabulous Carpenters Star, which could be a fabulous Christmas quilt or equally look beautiful out all year.
It’s based on half square triangles so a super useful patchwork unit. Perfect for beginners- so don’t worry if you’ve never done any patch work previously- but a cracking opportunity to play around with colour for the more experienced.
This looks ace using two colours, can create shadowing (one of the techniques covered this year) or multi colours.
Sessions will be each Friday 1pm – 4pm … bring your Gin! I will take you through the cutting, piecing and assembly.
