BUTTON IT -Online

Creating a buttonhole can feel a daunting task to even the most accomplished sewist. In this workshop we will be exploring the variety of different types of buttonholes our machines offer and where best to apply them in our sewing projects, building confidence and conquering that buttonhole phobia.

This is an online workshop that will be conducted over zoom.  We have a three-way camera system that will allow viewing at different angles to enhance your learning. You will receive a fabric sample pack along with a work booklet to make your notes and save your samples to. You will also have access to a recorded session of each of the tasks for your future reference

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

We will guide you through how to create perfectly formed buttonholes for different fabrics as well as explaining when and where to use each of these different techniques.

• Basic buttonhole
• Round end
• Hand worked
• Stretched
• Couture work with a bound buttonhole

WHAT YOU WILL NEED –

Your machine – a button foot if you have one – it may be possible to send you one in your pack depending on your machine type

Basic sewing kit – scissors, pins ETC

Cello tape! It will make sense on the day
