TRUE BIAS -HUDSON PANTS 

The Hudson pant is the piece of clothing that you will wear all of the time. It is comfortable enough to wear around the house, but can easily be dressed up to go run errands. The urban fit of these pants leaves a bit of extra room around the hips and then tapers into a skinny leg. View A is a full length pant and View B is mid-calf.

Recommended Fabrics – Medium weight knits such as cotton lycra, french terry, Ponte, and sweatshirt knit with a suggested stretch of approximately 40%

NOTIONS -Coordinating thread, 2 inch wide elastic (1 1/2 yds), 1/4” wide cording (2 yds), 2 x 1 inch scrap of fusible interfacing, ballpoint sewing needle.

True Bias -Nikko Top & Dress

TRUE BIAS -NIKKO DRESS AND TOP 

 

The Nikko pattern includes four views, all with a simple and stylish mock turtleneck. Views A and B are tops with a fitted silhouette that is perfect to pair with a high waisted bottom like the Lander pattern. Views C and D are straighter through the waist and hip, extending to the ankle, with knee-length side slits to complete the dress. Views A and C are both sleeveless, cut to resemble a racerback, but with enough coverage to wear a regular bra. Views B and D have long fitted sleeves that reach the wrist.

Fabric: 
Medium weight knit fabric with an approximate 75% stretch such as rib knit, sweater knit, bamboo knit, or stretch velvet.

Notions: 
Coordinating thread, ball point sewing machine needle, 1/4” clear elastic (1/2 yd). 
Optional: twin stretch sewing needle, fusible stretch tape.

True Bias-Shelby Dress/Romper

SHELBY DRESS- TRUE BIAS 

The Shelby pattern is a princess-seamed dress or romper with four views. Each has a V-shaped neckline, front button opening, and back waist tie. Views A and B are dresses with a traditional short sleeve. View A is a mini dress hitting mid-thigh, while View B is a longer dress that ends around the ankle. Views C and D are rompers with a cap sleeve. The romper gives the illusion of being a dress with the coverage of a short or pant. View C is a mini length romper hitting mid-thigh, while View D’s hem ends just above the ankle.

Fabric:
Lightweight woven fabrics with drape, such as rayon challis, crepe, silk, voile and linen.

Notions:
Coordinating thread, 2 yds of lightweight fusible interfacing,
7 – 3/8” buttons (Views A & B), 5 – 3/8” buttons (Views C & D).
